About Cause For Paws
Back To Home Page
Cause for paws is a self-supporting Dog Refuge that was founded in 2004 by Loretta Carrington. Being an avid dog lover, she has always helped out dogs in need. After moving to S.E. Bexar County, she soon became aware of the overwhelming amount of strays and unwanted dogs in the area.

She began taking in dogs and puppies of all breeds and   in all conditions. One by one she would try to make sure the dog or puppy was healthy and then try to place them in a home. She now has grown with numerous kennels and is able to treat all kinds of medical problems. When the dogs are healthy, they are put up for adoption. Many of the adult dogs are spayed or neutered and are current on their shots. All of the puppies have had at least one puppy shot and are de-wormed.

It takes a lot of time and passion to keep the kennels operating, but with your help this refuge center will be able to find homes for dogs who are waiting for a loving family.

If you are interested in making monetary or material donations, contact Loretta Carrington at 210-336-8223, or drop by the shelter at 10620 E. Loop 1604 South, San Antonio, TX, 78263.

Thank You for you support in helping us help the dogs!!
